Waltham Abbey Town Council has three rooms that are licensed to hold weddings and civil ceremonies: The James Suite, The Council Chamber and The Cornmill Suite.
The James Suite is our Community Ceremony Room which can seat up to 50 guests. This has recently been refurbished.
The Council Chamber is a beautiful room on the first floor that overlooks the Abbey Church and can also seat up to 50 guests.
The Cornmill Suite is our Town Hall and can hold up to 200 Guests.
The facilities and function rooms can be viewed by prior arrangement only – please telephone 01992 714949 to make an appointment.
The Council Chamber and the Cornmill Suite are available from 10:00am to 16:00pm for ceremonies Monday to Saturday along with the James Suite from 13:00pm – 16:00pm on a Saturday for an additional fee.
Arrangements can be made for the hire of the Cornmill Suite for both afternoon and evening receptions. The Cornmill Suite offers excellent kitchen facilities for catering and there is a fully stocked and licensed bar area. We also offer a buffet menu in house.
The hall can be dressed in a variety of ways to suit your event and we also have a large scale of projection equipment that can be used for an additional fee.
There are also functions rooms available to hire at the Town Mead Sports and Social Club. This also has catering facilities, a fully-stocked and licensed bar, ample car parking and a large play area just outside the function room.
